What Can You Expect on Windows 8

Earlier this month, Microsoft has made a preview on its newest version of Windows operating system to at the Microsoft Conference. The software named Windows 8, following its predecessor Windows 7, is highly regarded as an operating system that will change how the computers and laptops are going to be used. Windows 8 will promises you more than you can expect for the Microsoft lovers.

One of the key features of Windows 8 is that it will be touch-friendly. Even though Windows 7 has a touch feature, it is not up to the current standard. A big difference that Windows 8 has compared to its previous predecessors will be the Start menu. Starting from Windows 8, the Start menu will be replaced with a Start screen which is designed and functioned almost the same as the Windows Phone 7’s home screen. This will give a lot of flexibility to the users on how they will design their own Start screen.

Another revolution that Windows 8 brings will be the Windows Store. This store can already be previewed by the developers but it is still not accessible by Windows users for now. It is expected that in the Windows Store, you can buy all the applications and programs that you would normally buy from the retails. This will saves a lot of work to go buy the new products everytime it reaches the market. as it is a virtual copy, the price will also be a lot cheaper compared to the retail copy.

Windows 8 will also utilizes the cloud computing technology, where all your data in the computer can be synced on a virtual storage inside the ‘cloud’. This ‘cloud’ will be able to store all the documents, photos and even your browsing history so that even if you use another desktop, it will still have the same features like your own desktop. This will also makes it easier for you to share all the documents stored inside the computers.

Windows 8 got really positive reviews from the programmers and beta testers saying that it revolutionizes the way users interact with desktops and laptops. Expected to reach the market shores in 2012, it will be really anticipated by the current Windows 7 users.
