The smart phone family has been growing ever since the touch screen interfaces and 3G technologies gave it a boost. The latest addition to the family is two unique characters from Sharp – the Galapagos 003SH and Galapagos 005SH.
Now, the question is, is there anything interesting in them? Certainly yes. The Galapagos 003SH and 005SH boasts of a glass free 3D screen. Wow! Now that should be interesting. Let’s take a close look.
Galapagos 003SH comes with a 3.8 inch 3D screen with a 800 x 480 resolution. The phone comes powered with the latest 2.2 Froyo Android and a Snapdragon CPU of 1GHz. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth abilities are as usual as in similar Androids.
There is also a digital TV tuner to Galapagos 003SH’s credit list. The 9.6 mega pixels camera with 720 p video recording is a ‘more than enough’ feature for many.
With Galapagos 005SH things are bit different. Despite being similar to Galapagos 003SH in many ways, Galapagos 005SH has a QWERTY keypad with a 4way D pad. There is an extension capability with micro SD card of 32 GB. The camera is 8 mega pixels with 720p video recording.
The features being like this, both Galapagos 003SH and Galapagos 005SH are aimed to hit a target market where enthusiastic mobile users will go crazy on the application of the glass free 3D technology. Both the phones are expected to be launched commercially by early February.
